Above Ground Studio is a collaboration between Matt and Seraphina. We are a London based duo, with almost 25 years’ combined experience working as photographers.

We work with artists, galleries, designers and all areas of the creative industries. With a focus on producing beautiful, clean, high-quality images, we strive to make it simple and enjoyable for you to commission new photography.

About Us

We met while studying photography at Falmouth University and went on to gain experience working in London studios and with photographers such as Rankin & Nadav Kander.

We both then became in-house photographers at a major arts institution, which has given us a wealth of experience working with many art forms and with curators, artists, conservators, press and marketing, fashion designers, choreographers and more.

In May 2023, we founded Above Ground Studio. After years of working in a basement studio, we are excited to be taking on a wider range of projects above ground, to work with new people and to increase our Vitamin D levels!
